What a performance so many great displays .luke bolton brahim diaz douglas luiz.garcia ,gomes , bernabe take a bow ..the future is bright well done boys.loved that total football and never gave up.pep will be proud.

They are fucking brilliant!

Foden, Diaz, Nmecha, etc, were great tonight and should be in Pep's plans for the future.

1) The quality of some of the youngsters coming through is Premier League level already, just not City...yet.
2) Riyadh Mahrez is an excellent addition to the squad and gives us yet another “attack at speed” transition player who knows how to pass, shoot and hold onto the ball. Hope his ankle is OK.
3) Nmecha has the ability to be the 3rd striker, especially when surrounded by the First Team.
4) We have some outstanding talent down the wings, which is where Pep likes to stretch the opposition.
5) Garcia: Yes, please! Gomes: Not yet. Luiz: Not yet. Harrison: Not yet. Bolton: Not yet. Zinchenko: Keep, but not a LB. Humphreys: Not seeing it yet. Tosin: Lack of progression. Diaz: Hmmm...? Foden: Definite for the bench (hope his left hamstring is OK??!!). Bernabe: Looks like a real player! Garré: Not seen enough.

It will be interesting to see how many players have played themselves into the First Team squad for the upcoming season, because they ALL play with the same system as the First Team, and are learning from Pep’s desire to play them out of their natural position and get a feel for the holistic game, not just the furrow they are used to ploughing.

The future is BLUE!

They were great tonight. The young lads have grown into this tournament and showed great courage in the way they played. Let’s hope the injuries to Mahrez and Foden are not too bad.

Great courage by the boy blues. Fucking made up for them after the shit show of offside goals and soft penalties against Klopps 1st team.

I wonder if Pep is thinking of doing what Fergie did in the mid 90s where he sold some big name stars so that his youth players could come into the first team?
