WSL Liverpool H 16/02 18:45

We were still far too open in that first half and mistakes nearly cost us again. They really should've taken the lead when Knaak blocked the shot on the line. 2 quality finishes from Shaw showed them how to do it. Great to get another clean sheet though we have Yamashita to thank for it with a couple of top drawer saves at the end.

Really pleased for Fowler who becomes the first player in WSL history to have 2 goal involvements (goal or assist) in 4 consecutive games.

It's gonna be tough to keep everyone happy when we have a full squad available again especially in the forward positions. Kerolin & Park missed out on a start today and when Hemp is back too then Taylor will really have his work cut out for him.

Good performance and an important three points. Pity Kerolin hit the post at the end, that would have been a lovely goal.
Great to have Bunny back with her shooting boots on, loved her second, she did well to get that in.

Some good performances out there today, I thought liverpool stepped it up a bit in the second but after about 15 mins or so we did too.

Can't critique Taylor with his subs today, thought they all slotted in well. We exchanged one classy looking Japanese midfielder with another.

That's both men and women's first managers making good subs in the same weekend. What next, both teams taking good corners and maintaining possession at a throw in?

Much more fluid performance and generally solid across the pitch. Yamashita wasn't gonna let in one Dipper goal come what may.

But there were nigh on 40 backpasses to our goalie. The stat xG is gonna replaced by xB - expected backpasses. When Liverpool got going their passing was sharp and precise. We hustled them out of the 'denouement' but why do we seem to labour at getting the ball quickly from defence to midfield to attack!

Good goals, including Grace's!!

Cold night and another good win ,although Liverpool were let down by the final touch / poor finishing . Loved Gracie's goal too - that RB position is the most predictable in the set up as the LB gets more forward runs . Mary Fowler is such an asset and great finish by Bunny for her second . Great goalkeeping at the end to keep a clean sheet .

As for touchline antics from managers I don't know . Taylor is a quiet man , so we can't expect to see passion from him but , if we don't qualify for Europe with this squad questions need to be asked .

Im also worried about how we keep everyone satisfied once they're all fit (although we do have to factor in that long term injuries are still common and it wil be rare for everyone to be fit). I don't think it should be hard to give everyone minutes as (as with our men's team) a lot of those forward players can play multiple positions. Park, for instance, has been played out of position in the 8 slot most of this season when really she should be getting more minutes at 10. Whereas Roord has been overused and played too many games when out of format 10. Roord, Miedema and Park can cover 10 and 8 between the three of them so that should allow plenty of minutes for everyone.

Fowler has been unbelievable this season but its hard to fit her into a definitive starting 11 with everyone fit. Thankfully she can play anywhere across the front 3 though so there should be plenty of minutes for her too IF Gareth Taylor uses his squad properly.

Kerolin also seems quite a versatile player.

Chelsea have incredible strength in depth in all all positions (which they've needed on account of injuries). Their manager rotates and uses everyone regularly and it keeps everyone happy (as does winning trophies)

It all well and good managers saying they prefer to work with a smaller squad. But actually a good manager should be able to manage and use as many players as it takes to have quality available to cover all positions. Taylor has a horrible habit of freezing players out though so I'm not convinced he can manage a squad that has the full roster of personnel required to compete for trophies. The club have certainly backed him in the market and delivered a great squad for him to make use of though.

Good result and hide to ride a few early chances. Sad to see Bunny do the Black Panther celebration. Shouldn't be a need for taking knees or the like. Is it the 21st Century?! Bunny is such a talented finisher.

Great result and some good chances throughout. Great to see Prior on the scoresheet.

The sub of "Dave" Hasegawa for Oyama was seamless. They are both Silva-like in stature and ability. Incredible players to watch.

I think it could become one of the most iconic sporting moments of recent times as long as it was used as a one-off reaction to the abuse she received and the seeming lack by the authorities to stamp it out. Bunny should be being celebrated as one of the best strikers in the women's game and not being driven out by trolls and keyboard warriors who think they can hide behind their online anonymity.

Just glad to see Bunny back in the side annd scoring.
I hope they can track down the arseoles that abused her.

I agree about the iconic state of it BUT it is a disgrace that race has been rearing its ugly head again and again
