Probably our strongest team on paper with usual caveat about who is our best RB option.

It depends what Pep has seen in training though as the reality could be quite different. I’ve heard Echeverri has done extremely well for example.

I thought he was going to Lyons on loan?

God knows who is going on loan at this stage.
Sangare and Nypan also mentioned as possibilities to Lyon also.
I think Echeverri may stay but there is a full team of City players not at the CWC that need to get their futures sorted too.
The loan officer is going to be a very busy person.

Top 2 qualify. Finishing 2nd likely has us against Real Madrid in the next round though.

Speak for yourself. I'm looking forward to seeing how our new players do and how we perform as a team. New tactics and formations from last season with more energy and drive. Exciting times ahead.

Not sure we’ll see too much of the extra energy and drive and new tactics in the opening match of the season played in warm conditions. I think it’s something that they’ll aim to build gradually during the tournament.
