A background performer when compared with Iniesta tonight mate.
However, I said to a friend tonight...it would be a footballing travesty if the likes of Xavi, Iniesta and Puyol DIDN'T win the World Cup.

Probably the greatest midfielder around at the minute and this is not an over reaction to his performance tonight i've said it for a while. His vision and ability on the ball is just in a different league to almost every other player of his type

And to think before the Wc its was being reported in some of the press that Barca where thinking of selling him due to his injury's he had last year!

I dont think Ive ever heard xavi linked with any club , that just shows how he is indispensable to Barca. He is a great player , his movement is fantastic . he was too quick for the dutch but Iniesta , some of his passsing as well as Xavis was just brilliant . if we are minted why not get one of them or even better , get both ;)
