anyone else think that yaya is too big and would benefit from been a few pounds lighter? showed glimpses against chelsea of what we signed him for, but last ten minutes he looked absolutely shattered, unlike NDJ, barry and especially essien?

Can see your point mate. Paul Lake said the same thing a couple of weeks ago on Blue Tuesday and i tend to agree also!

No, not really. He looks lean and keen to me. Think he, NDJ and Barry have had the biggest responsibility to bear with our fixture schedule - those 3 have been a rock at times and so Mancini is evidently hesitant to mess with this area of the team at present. they'll likely start against Juve on Thursday, then will be all a big part of our bid to get 3 points against the barcodes on Sunday. That's probably why one or two of them looks tired - NDJ being the oddity as he plays at 100mph for 90 mins or not at all.

Besides, if we believe the stories then Mancini will be training them 24 hours a day soon, so he'll be giving Kate Moss a run for her money soon.

I don't think he's fully fit at the minute, seemed to be dead on his feet yesterday, although think he worked his socks off.

LOL!

I love de Jong!

He's like Road Runner on acid!

I don't know if people understand how seriously football clubs, especially with someone so keen on fitness as Mancini in charge, take body fat levels etc.

They are strictly monitored very regularly, and if something was a miss, it would be highlighted, and he would be made to drop the weight...

I think with Yaya, he has a style where he looks uncomfortable because he is so big, the sheer size of his shoulders and upper body make him look huge in comparison with everyone else, personally I dont think fat is a word I would use.

Yes I totally agree! I posted this on a thread yesterday and have thought the same since the first game:

For professional footballer, not only that but one who plays in central midfield, not only that but one who plays in the Premier League, not only that but one who plays for a top team; I think he's a fat fucker!

When he injects his adenosine tri phosphate and creatine systems into a decent run, he is very fast. But he's got too much fat mass to run and run and run in a 90minute game, his VO2 levels cannot be optimised with that much fat!

Ramadan is over now so Yaya's dietary needs should not be a problem any more so he needs to sit down with City's conditioning coach and get a proper diet plan and training plan to get himself in proper, needed, top Premier League midfield shape! He can be so much more useful and effective if he was fit, I can clearly see he isn't!

I've been fairly impressed with his playing ability and effectiveness so far, but I'm very very disappointed in his shape, physique and fitness!

dont think yaya is too big its all about adapting to the prem he only been here 5mins give the lad a break but the liga is played at walking pace were as over here its 100mph none stop
