Yaya Toure - 2016/17 performances

I originally wanted Yaya to stay and still do as he is a City legend but I now think he'll leave. He is playing really well and will have many offers come summer time.

Nobody is thinking about what Yaya wants. If Gundogan was fit he would not have played this many games for sure.

I don't think Yaya will settle for a reduced wage and heavily reduced playing time next season when he can go to a good team in Italy and be a guaranteed starter.

He loves the club, but it would not be in his best interest to stay.

I would love for him to go to Italy on a 2-3 year deal then come back to City for a coaching role.

We have kept Seluk quiet (for now) but the question is can Yaya perform next season to similar standards and is worthy of a new deal ( I doubt he isn't going to accept too much of a drop in wages)

He said the other day that he wants to stay in England and if possible with us and he said it after turning down a mega offer from China

Well he's more than good enough to keep on to now, time will tell if that's the case in June.

With regards to wages, he's said he's intent on staying in the Premier League, and realistically how much can he pull in from other clubs?

Players say a lot of things. A lot can change in 6 months. That saying, I highly doubt he'll go to China.

Which top 6 side in England would you see taking him? A mid-table club would probably be a more realistic option. Would that suit him? I don't know.

Would it be more interesting for him to go to Italy or France, play for a top team and compete for trophies? Possibly.

Seluk has said that Yaya is the best midfielder in the world. He is clearly putting his player on the market, and Yaya's recent form has certainly helped.

Premier League teams still can afford to match his wage demands with a generous signing on fee (BT deal has helped bridging that gap). Milner is an example of that (a player who remained professional in his last season at CIty).

He would never go to a mid table team here, his ego wouldn't allow him,i wouldn't want to have him line up against us for any other team here either
I think we might just give him another year if he would accept a lower wage,he certainly won't get anywhere near his current wages anywhere else in the prem so he might as well stay here if he gets that option

I am being a bit cynical here but Yaya joined us when we were still in the Europa League and had money (still has) which made it easier to drop down a level from his last club.

I would also hate to see him go to another PL team.

Would love for him to accept a lower wage and probably less playing time but I genuinely think he will go to Italy or France.

Could easily see him go to teams like Juve, PSG, back to Monaco, maybe Inter. Yaya would dominate those leagues.

My heart tells me he'll stay and my head tells me he'll go. We'll see what happens.
