I'm gonna drop this **** right where he stands, if I ever bump into him.

They don't call me the one-punch king of Meh for no reason.

I will then allow the goz from my full-blown raspberry to drip across his eyes.

On a serious note, he's a twat who should be out the door by the end of the month.

Go get this lad Carvalho, everyone is saying he is the new Yaya?

Sorry but unless there is some sort of apology then we punt him on but our terms

Insist on a transfer request
Will only sell to Non EPL clubs
Minimum sell price what we paid for him

If he dont or wont then we keep but omit him from the CL squad

Not gutted nor angry its modern day football but if this clubs spends a fucking penny increasing his current contract then they are mad

No player is bigger than the team or the club if he wanted to go then so be it but his gob shite "agent" really took the piss

Ty Yaya but goodbye

Sounds good in theory, but in practice, we had this issue with Tevez.

If we leave him out of CL, we end up with with a disgruntled player who is losing value by the day and causing unrest in the squad.
If we keep playing him, we basically have to hope he plays well to sell himself to potential suitors.
Potential suitors know the situation and use it to drive his price down. It shifts the balance of power in their favour (not totally, but it does shift a bit).

We're under FFP scrutiny, so despite the Sheik's wealth, we still need to try and maximise his value (either in a sale, or on pitch performances). It's annoying, but player power is quite strong these days. He knows it too, which is why he's chosen to go down this path.

He is disgrunteld now so what have we got to loose

We wont be loosing any value providing he is playing in the league so if his performances are good then his value will remain - if they are shite he gets less chance of a move

FFP presumably we were always going to buy players so dont see the issue he is still available for league games

We had lots of issues with Tevez BUT he never won came back to the club and played the 6 ish games or so and did very well AND THEN we let him go

Sorry we cant loose this one

I think we mostly agree, but a disgruntled player stirring up trouble never increases in value. It gives the buying club more leverage since they know deep down, we want to move him on.

If he was as happy as larry, and (say) Barca came in for him, they'd have to offer a fortune to convince us to sell.
If he's stirring up trouble, they know that we'll settle for less, because we WANT to move him on. That doesn't mean we'll let him go for next to nothing, but they won't have to go the extra mile to persuade us, which will result in a lower fee.

And what I'm saying about FFP is that with 'only' (said respectfully) 49 million to spend on transfers, if we sell a player on, we will be looking to squeeze the max value out of them. If we didn't have that budget constraint on us, we might not be so concerned. This season, in particular, is not a great season for players to be asking for pay increases, or playing silly buggers angling for a move.

I suspect one way around it, might be for City to defer pay rises until next year (but agree them in advance). Depends if FFP will allow for that.

The interview was done before this drama.
Everyone calm down, he WILL be playing for us next season.

And after all he has done for us he deserves more respect.

No, he owes it to MCFC to show more respect, we have given him a platform to shine after he was bummed out of Barca for not being good enough for them, paid him a fortune to do his job (admittedly very, very well), tolerated some of the shit from his stupid agent for the past few years, backed him in the CSKA Moscow race row last season and the least he can do in return is show a bit of respect, not just for the club but for the thousands of City fans out there who pay a lot of good money, hard earned money, to watch him play.

We seem to have attracted a lot of "visitors" since yesterday ;)
Not in a good way tbh.. none of this should be out in the public unfortunately his agent is an over zealous ass hole whose looking for a payday. They can both leave for all I care, no one puts themselves above the club and that's what they've done.

Re: Yaya Toure

For anyone on bluemoon who reads the matchday threads, for anyone who had to defend Demichelis, Dzeko or Garcia during the past year, for anyone who suggested that Manuel Pellegrini shouldn't be judged on a handful of away games at the beginning of the season, the hysteria on here now is entirely predictable.

Having listened to the interview, he seems to be more upset with the general lack of respect & appreciation from the English media.

(Mentions Suarez (the racist) who won the player of the year by scoring lots of goals against Norwich.)

He doesnt actually slag CITY off at all, just says everyhting is up for grabs.
It does look like he's angling for a move, but nothing about a lack of respect from the club & nothing about a cake.

His agent really has made a fucking mountain out of this.

He said "The future is open" what else does he mean

The total lack of respect is firstly doing this shit in public, then supporting his arsehole agent and having only just signed a new deal and the best he can come up with is a fucking cake

There is fuck all up for grabs as he has a contract and i feel sure City would not want to sell so the only person pushing for this is Yaya and his agent

In defence of his interview, he's merely saying the future IS open (which it is). He's always said he'd like to return to Barca one day, and here he's saying 'who knows what might happen in the future'.

Sadly, given recent events, when they play back an interview like this, it gets twisted into something it's not.

His recent antics leave a lot to be desired, and I'll gladly knock him for it (he deserves it), but I don't think the interview warrants criticism. These media lot are buggers at how they make things look just to throw more fuel on the fire.

I don't agree.
After the Bayern fiasco, people were calling for his head. There was very little sympathy for him. You need only look on the archives here to see how much vitriol there was for him, then his subsequent golfing trip irked massively too.
By the time he arrived back, and started scoring, we rapidly warmed to him again.
Then in the final season, we all knew the score, and he played well for us - by then, the drama was all over. But he was definitely public enemy number one for a good few months. WIthout a doubt.

Remember with time most fans developed a different take on that night in Munich. Not ONE of the players nor staffers backed up Mancini's claims of what happened. Carlos shouldn't have went awol, but I suspect Mancini was the real nutter in that particular case.
Also, Teves had no problems with the club, just the manager, and always spoke well about us.

The Club's review found otherwise.

In the main Carlos was great for us but you are forgetting a few things like Tevez on camera laughing when we got knocked out of the Champs League.

If the last week has taught us anything, it is virtually impossible to keep a full squad of multi-millionaires happy all the time.
