Yaya Toure - commits future to City (page 855)

Glad he's staying and this can be put behind us, finally.

Yaya has clearly not been in a good state of mind recently (understandably) but his agent has clearly not done him any favours.

Ultimately we are a better team with him in it.

We just need to move on, he's a city player, a great city player. Whilst his outbursts came out his brother was dieing/just died, I'm sure his head was all over the place. I just hope he has a good start to the season so the boo boys don't get on his back. At the end of the day he can be the differance between winning a trophy and not winning a trophy. What he's done and the way he's acted is not unforgivable, not in the same league as tevez. I'm sure we've all acted like frontbums at times in our lives due to personnel turmoil

And the legend continues...

We'll be cheering him again after his customary goal against the rags, let's put it to bed and close this monstrosity of a thread...

Perhaps the least surprising turn of events of the summer :-)

I think yaya realizes he has made a balls up. I'm not making excuses for him but people react strangely in desperate times. For him to come out and commit his future for city is a big thing for us. You only have to look at what he has achieved to realize how important he is to us. An absolutely integral part of our rise to the top. Three vital wembley goals, 2 at Newcastle that helped us on our way to the title, couple of derby goals as well as his mega season last year. I think some city fans need to put this behind them and fully support him. What he has done for our club is legendary!

His agent and by association Yaya himself really are a pair of slimy twats. Glad he's staying if he's going to give it all but there's no doubt that, like Tevez, he's ruined his legacy.

+1

Who cares if he said silly things a couple months ago? He's a gamechanger, our best player, and we had to keep him to have hope of winning any trophies.

It's great news and all this nonsense will be forgotten by the start of the year. Onwards and upwards.

Perhaps next time we can wait for a player to actually leave before calling him despicable names.
This !
So called fans on here sound like rags, there again !

Bollocks. If he acts like a c**t, I'll call him a c**t. Just because he's fortunate enough to play for City doesn't mean he isn't an arsehole.

What is it with todays fanboys that put players first and the club second ?

What's with it with all these idiots who build up players to be something that they're not?

The brother things was huge but I think people also underestimate the pressure of the run in especially on Yaya and the pressure on being your countries main man for the World Cup.
