The interview was done before this drama.
Everyone calm down, he WILL be playing for us next season.

And after all he has done for us he deserves more respect.

Dear oh dear oh dear. The fucking irony in that comment.

Yes respect is a 2 way street, I get your comment. But I still think this will be sorted out and has been blown out of all proportion.
He's still pissed off that he didn't win the PFA player of the year, I think that has a lot to do with it and he is venting his frustration at the club.

And is that Citys fault ?????

Re: Yaya Toure

I'm gonna drop this **** right where he stands, if I ever bump into him.

They don't call me the one-punch king of Mere for no reason.

I will then allow the goz from my full-blown raspberry to drip across his eyes.

On a serious note, he's a twat who should be out the door by the end of the month.

Go get this lad Carvalho, everyone is saying he is the new Yaya?

Re: Yaya Toure

Having listened to the interview, he seems to be more upset with the general lack of respect & appreciation from the English media.

(Mentions Suarez (the racist) who won the player of the year by scoring lots of goals against Norwich.)

He doesnt actually slag CITY off at all, just says everyhting is up for grabs.
It does look like he's angling for a move, but nothing about a lack of respect from the club & nothing about a cake.

His agent really has made a fucking mountain out of this.

Is that you're opinion or what the club are trying to do?

The problem for Yaya is that, at the moment, we're all really disappointed in him.

If he leaves it until after the world cup to communicate with the club and the fans, I think any apology (should that be forthcoming) will fall on deaf ears and that disappointment will have been replaced with irretrievable disgust.

He needs to speak now whilst he still has a chance.

People warmed back to Tevez pretty quickly - although never truly forgot his antics.
I suspect the same will be true of Toure if he returns. Fans are fickle, and if he's sticking the ball in the back of the net, we'll soften. Woe betide him if he has a few bad games though... the howling mob will be gunning for him
Oh this is far, far worse than Tevez. Disrespectful almost beyond belief, even if it is his 'agent''s usual annual antics. No way back for him with me except with grovelling contrition.

I'd be amazed if the club hasn't been in contact with Yaya demanding to know what he's on about and issuing him with a put up or shut up ultimatum. The club can't afford to leave it till after the WC to work out what new squad players are needed - the chairman's interview made it clear that all ins and outs are worked out well in advance. That doesn't mean that the club or Yaya have to go public with what's been agreed, so there may well be an interview/statement after the WC, but all will have been agreed long before that. If the club are not worried, I'm not worried. Yaya's still one big fucking fool though, pending contrite grovel.

He said "The future is open" what else does he mean

The total lack of respect is firstly doing this shit in public, then supporting his arsehole agent and having only just signed a new deal and the best he can come up with is a fucking cake

There is fuck all up for grabs as he has a contract and i feel sure City would not want to sell so the only person pushing for this is Yaya and his agent

No not at all but I think theirs a bit more to this when you read between the lines than just cake gate. He looked happy and content at the celebrations giving interviews and looking to next season. I don't get it.

Unfortunately just like with Tevez before him, players agents can be unscrupulous, and will do anything to secure an objective.

Yaya should have kicked this agent into touch years ago.
