Re: Yaya Toure

Think this has all gone too far now, was a joke at the start but now it has become insulting towards us and the sheikh. Don't know who he thinks he is but no one is bigger than the club. Will always be remembered as a legend but this is ridiculous

Re: Yaya Toure

Some of you seem as sensitive as he is, if the cake story is to be believed. YaYa has been the engine for this team for nearly half a decade starting virtually every league and Europe match we've had. I don't need to highlight his contributions and we should all just be grateful for them and if he wants to get off the ride now so be it, because with or without YaYa the show will go on regardless.

And oh god if people think Barkley could replace Yaya they're sadly mistaken.

I've already said there's no-one out there as good as Ya Ya, but if he keeps this bunko up much longer there will be no bridges left to burn and we'll need an alternative. You got a better (and realistic) suggestion than Barkley up your sleeve?

As for waiting until after the World Cup, why the fucking hell should we indulge such showboating knobbery? If his plan is to stay, then he could easily say that now
Yaya has answered those questions himself. He's focusing entirely on the World Cup as it's probably his last go at winning it - unless he plays at this level until he's 35 he won't be travelling anywhere with the Ivory Coast again. If he believes these ridiculous stories to be nothing but rumours, which is pretty much what he's said they are, perhaps he feels he shouldn't have to waste time dismissing them when he's got a huge international tournament to prepare for. When it's over we'll hear what he has to say for himself, but until then I won't be swinging either way on this matter.

If the worst happens and he does leave, I could see us lining up like this next season if we get our targets.

Hart
Zabaleta - Kompany - Mangala - Kolarov
Fernando
Fabregas - Fernandinho
Navas - Aguero - Silva

Would you complain if that was our system next season? Replacing Yaya with a like-for-like is impossible, so impossible that attempting it would be stupid. He's a linchpin that could only be replaced if his role in the side was divided up between two players and our system was altered to fit Barcelona's style of a holding midfielder, two creative midfielders, two wingers and a false 9 striker.

I love the fact that the reason Yaya and his agent are so pissed of is down to lack of respect for which, in retaliation, they display a huge lack of respect.

Oh the ironing.

It is tricky. You just have to be sure not to loiter in any one area for too long and use the right heat for the fabric. Oh, and stay away from silk.

I think you have missed the point completely. If he chose to leave, to pursue new challenges most would be diappointed to lose such a fantastic player but still hold a respect for the man for his achievements.

The issue is the undignified slights against the club (again), the timing of the insults and his arrogance in refusing to clarify his position until a time suitable to himself.

Then he should be with his national team, not in the Middle East whilst they're in the United States.

Re: Yaya Toure

Errr... Ivory Coast were in Doha (Qatar) for a training camp before going to the US. Yaya has an injury so won't be joing up with the rest of the team till thursday.
Of course he could be working out a mega deal with PSG but as he is totally honourable and respectful that won't be the case will it.

Perhaps your mental gymnastics look foolish Bob.
We are going off facts here not rumour or hear say.

I am not bursting any blood vessels personally but if others want to they have fair reason tbh mate.
I understand some will defend him. You can't say maybe this and that and expect it to hold water against facts though bud.
Users are pissed at verified facts and in any other walk of life people would use the same reasoning and logic.

Grateful? Are you soft in the head or something?

He is a (fucking highly) paid professional doing his job. He doesn't give a fuck about you or me or the club.

I'm grateful to my parents or the oncologists keeping my dad with us.

I am not and never will grateful to a fucking footballer.

Even my 800 pages is looking decidedly over optimistic as it stands.

Why should we wait for a player to dictate to a what he wants to do?

Also fucks the whole summer spending up and Pelli's plans

Too right. Now we have this UEFA imposed budget, the club are going to have to think very carefully about what they do this window. Just waiting until the middle of July to know whether they need to replace one of our most important players as part of the plan is not an option. If he wants out he needs to do us all a favour and put in a request and if he's going to stay then he needs to commit his future. If he really intends to make us just sit and wait for him to make his decision then he's a twat and we need to take it out of his hands and fuck him off.

Hasn't the entire story come about because of rumours and hearsay? The only fact we have is that Seluk made these comments because we've seen him on our TV screens. Everything else is open to interpretation, whether it's the source of those tweets on Toure's account or the comments Yaya's made in the media. The only thing we know for sure is that everything in Yaya's mind will be out in the public domain when the Ivory Coast's time at the World Cup comes to an end.

We have no idea why Yaya isn't putting this to bed, but don't you think he would if he could? What if he's wanting to clear the air but can't because he's been forbidden by his manager? What if his manager has said "No, World Cup for now, City later"? We have no idea, and until we do any rash decisions shouldn't be made. How many people were made to eat their words about Tevez when he came back and refreshed our title bid in 2012? I'd rather not make my bed on this just yet.

Yaya has set a date, so I don't think it's fair to say things like "He should be sold" until that date arrives.

Re: Yaya Toure

(Reuters) - Ivory Coast coach Sabri Lamouchi said he was treading a fine line in his World Cup preparations as he caters for players fatigued by their club seasons and those short of playing time.

"We have many players at different levels of physical fitness," said Lamouchi in Dallas where the Ivorians are holding their pre-World Cup training camp.
"We have players like Kolo Toure (of Liverpool) and (Turkish-based defender) Souleyman Bamba who have played little.

"There are others too who have not had much game time at their clubs, either because of injury or because of a lack of confidence in them from their coaches.

"We have to give them opportunity. On the other hand, we have to allow those who have had a long season time to recover.

"Players like (Salomon) Kalou, Gervinho and (Wilfried) Bony have had long seasons," he added in an interview published on the Ivorian Football Federation website (<a class="postlink" href="http://www.fif-ci.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">www.fif-ci.com</a>).

"The idea is to get to a level of consistency in our fitness after our first week of training and before, or just after, the match against Bosnia. We want the players as close as possible to a 100 percent capacity," Lamouchi said.

The Ivorians play the first of two warm-up friendlies in the U.S. against Bosnia and Herzegovina in St Louis on May 30, followed by a clash with El Salvador in Dallas on June 4. They will arrive in Brazil on June 6.

At the World Cup, the Ivorians have been drawn in Group C and compete against Colombia, Greece and Japan.

Fucking right. Yaya should be grateful he earns nearly a million quid every month for being good at football. I hope we move the Earth finding an eager young replacement and flog him to an outpost for £40m
