Well we do kind of know as 9 times out of 10 the player stays with some kind of sweetner thrown in to the pot. If there is no sweetner then it means the club are not that concerned beyond the inconvenience of having to factor in the possible departure of a key player. But after 2 PL titles and 2 domestic cups selling Yaya to PSG or Monaco or whoever for a tidy wedge isn't that bad an outcome either.
All top clubs go through this crap. Even a mid table club like ManU went through this shit with Rooney and bent over twice. Real Madrid had fake Ronnie moping around the place feeling unloved and carving a symbol on his cheek and declaring he shall henceforth be known as 'the player formerly known as Ronaldo'. Messi has been a total mard arse with Barca and on it goes and 9 times out of 10 a brand new contract magically cures everything and when it doesn't you trade in the player for the wedge.
For Yaya and his agent this is just business. You shake the tree and see what falls out. And if Yaya stays and any backtracking needs to be done the agent takes the shit. After all that's his job.

We dump players when it suits us and players dump us when it suits them. The only thing I want from a player is for him to turn up when it matters and win trophies. Yaya has done that.
