Now......we have always had a good sense of humour so how about singing to Ya Ya in the first game,''If we knew you were staying we'd have baked a cake, baked a cake!'' to the tune of the song that was used in that advertisement a few years ago?

LOL.
Assume you're referring to the 1950 Eileen Barton version?

I am not sure, the actual words were,''If i knew you were coming i'd have baked a cake'' it sure sounded like an old song and was used 15-20 years ago in an advert for some baking product or it may even have been a Kipling one.

If he was 5 years younger and had just put a season in like his last one, we'd be looking at the sort of money that Bale went for.
But he isn't .

Good spot Sherlock. You're wasted on here, you should join the police and be a detective or something.
Actually, it's funny you should mention that......

Ha ha that's it,well done stony!

So.....here we go.......''If we knew you were staying we'd have baked a cake, baked a cake, baked a cake,if we knew you were staying we'd have baked a cake, baked a cake for you!''....Swiftly followed by the Ya Ya song.

Thought so that he will be staying, glad that idiotic agent of his cleared the whole mess today. Both of them ended up being jokers where as city handled the situation very well.I guess all will be forgotten once he puts in superb performances like that of last season. After all that is what matters in the end.But anyways yaya must be in for a rough ride from opposition fans as i don't think they will let go of this chance v easily.

It's an all too familiar tactic, though. Season ends, fabricate a rift between club, spend summer looking at what offers come in. If the offers aren't better than current deal, claim the whole thing was a mis-understanding and try to brush it under the carpet. Sad but true.

Could work out well. We have Yaya for another season which is important as with ffp we can't afford to adequately replace him right now.

I would think his card is marked at city and when we have the funds next summer he will be replaced even if we can't move him on. he will be on the periphery.

A commitment to City is all we asked. It came late, but there has obviously been some source of discontent that has led to Borat sounding off in the manner that he did, and the fact that this discontent was not immediately silenced went on to create an open wound which did no-one any good. My own guess now is that City and Yaya worked out a compromise in which Yaya would commit himself fully to one more season and, in return, the club would allow him to move on next summer at a reduced fee once our transfer restrictions were lifted, and more importantly, when our plans for the future without Yaya had been formulated.

You sound really upset......don't worry most fans are delighted if he really is staying. Also, people are entitled to be pissed off at your attitude of having a divine right to be the sole arbiter of City opinion and then slag others off just as oyu ahve so elequently done here. If you and others can't put this to bed now then you are the ones direspecting the club. Unless there is a sudden change of mind by the player/agent the storm in a tea cup is over.

A far more pertinent and intersting subject though is what is City's future planning regading replacing YaYa. Depending on his role and number of games he has to play he might have up to 2 seasons at his best so the issue of replacing him needs to be managed properly and hope the club can do this. It may well need a slightly different way of playing given there is barely any other player like him currently playing. Barkely running at defences is exciting but he does not in my view have the ability to control a game like Ya Ya does but at the moment he would be my pick with a bit of tweaking around him.

Upset? not at all, pissed of with those who aim barbed pissy comments at others for having a differing opinion? yes.
You talk a lot but say nothing.

Your post also highlights the fact you hear what you want to and nothing more. I and others have said numerous occasions we are pretty indifferent to him staying, look the word up some time.

Hit dogs holler... As you were one who hopefully saw news of him "departing post haste"

This is also coming from someone who wrote
"So if the fool is gonna spout off and people want to call him then he is fair game"

It's cool for you to call Yaya out but not cool for someone to call out those who make the type of comments I originally stated. Plus this isn't the first time you've come at me to talk shit on this thread. How salty are you really now that he's staying for the foreseeable future?

As i stated indifferent, i just wont sing his songs.
Or do you just hear and read what you want all the time?

Your childish comments that do nothing but aim to put down those with a differing view so yeah i will have ten more pops if need be and if you don't like it the that is tough shit.
If you want to post pissy arsy comments expect to get pulled up.
If you don't like it then don't post to wind people up.

Now if you don't mind i shall finish my merlot and carry on people watching in this nice part of town.

<I just had to> :-)

We get to keep him for one more season and he's motivated to perform well to get his last last payday from psg next year.

Win win.
