Yaya Toure (contract at Olympiakos terminated P18)

Yaya is one of the best players we have ever had & deserves that as his legacy, whatever bad decisions he has made.

He might be a proper **** or an easily influenced/brainwashed **** but he is a big part of our history, same as Mancini, Silva, Vinny, etc.

If we've seen our arses with him after that, for good reason, that's fair enough but it doesn't change what he did for City.

He is one of the main reasons we are where we are.
Only Aguero with the 93:20 has given me as much pleasure as Yaya. The semi final goal v those cünts, the FA Cup final goal, the 2 v Newcastle. The guy gave me more good memories than any other City player. I have absolutely zero interest in what him, or his agent, have said - it doesn't even register with me. Other players can be great at other bits and bobs, but for highlights, and incredibly important goals, he's the best.

I agree with his crucial moments, but I rate him as one of several crucial players in our development as a club.

Imo, he has also been a weak link in a decent number of games, when we have fucked up, & he has burned a lot of his bridges, so far as popularity goes, but we can't devalue what he has done for the club, no matter our various individual opinions of the man & his agent.

He did what he did, for City, at the time & without that, we wouldn't have Pep etc now.

The ultimate big time player for us. The higher the stakes the more he produced.

Semis / finals / crucial away goals / crucial home goals or assists / winning penalty shoot outs.....

You name it - he did it.

That is one special player which ever you criteria you go by.

City legend

Great player for us, in his pomp an absolute joy to watch, Can't forgive his very serious accusation that our manager is racist though, it's ludicrous, without one jot of evidence. The ramblings of a twisted, bitter man, who's ego couldn't accept that he was finished as a player.

simply the best and won us many many things and the highlight clips of him winning us silverware with important goals brings joy and tears to the hardest city fans, but for me he played 2 season to long and it lost him a lot of respect from a big bunch of fans, should be right up there with the legends in years to come and maybe fans will say the yaya years was special
