Yaya Toure Retires - City Legend and one of the Best ever

An all-time great in Manchester City's history, never mind the last ten years.

Named by Garry Cook as the signing that led to others, such as David Silva, joining us.

In his prime, Yaya was, without doubt, one of the best players on the planet, and his surging runs from midfield with the ball at his feet was a sight to behold for all City fans. His free-kicks from around the edge of the box were almost a guaranteed goal during the 13/14 season and he was as good a penalty taker as most of us have seen.

His goal at Wembley in the 2014 League Cup final is still one of the best I have ever witnessed and will stay with me for ever. The two he scored at the same venue three years earlier will forever be remembered for their importance in ending our 35 year-long wait for a major trophy and for helping Roberto Mancini fulfil his promise to tear down that fucking banner.

I wish Yaya every success in whichever direction the future takes him, and I will always welcome him back to Etihad.

Did he just un-retire on air!?

Yeah but no but :)

He also kinda said he'd like to manage City.

Awesome player, actually, my favourite of all time... & Henry comes 2nd.

First City goal I ever saw was Yaya v Utd.
