Yaya Toure signs new five year contract (merged)

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

I seriously doubt that this 'story' has much substance, other than an agent/pimp putting his best working girl in the shop window, but if it does, and he sees his future elsewhere, then he knows where the door is,and can close it on his way out with my thanks and best wishes for the future, the same as any player who has worn the shirt but wants away.
As regards a replacement,we should always be on the lookout for new players to strengthen the squad anyway, rather than wait until someone decides the time is right for a move, and then run around like headless chickens, get ripped off in the transfer market because clubs know we can be held to ransom, and end up with a panic/stop-gap buy.

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

Well we did alright without him when he fucked off on his annual trip to the ACON, sounds like his agent isn't getting his big payday.

If he wants to go let him, we'll get someone in on half the wages who will do just as good a job as yaya, is definitely not irreplaceable.

Man united are winning the league by 15 points without him, real Madrid, barca and Dortmund and bayern are coping very well without him.
100% agree.
If he goes, we move on.
Its not as if he's been spectacular this season.

Kin Hell, i said the same on about page 7 when part of this thread was in the transfer forum and they resorted to some cheap insult.

Yaya is a beast, just not the same beast from last season.

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

We probably are negotiating with him and because we have turned down his first proposal he has thrown his toys out of the pram and gone running to the media to try and pressure us to crumbling.

This isn't going to happen and I won't be surprised if Yaya leaves or signs a contract.

just take no notice mate, you are entitled to your opinion

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

To be honest I don't think he'd fit in 4-3-3. He's lazy, inconsistent, doesn't even mark his player (ask Pep) and he can't play advanced in that system because his 'take the ball and run' wouldn't offer enough.
