That 85,000 that Blue62 talks of is actually believed to be woefully underestimated as a few scallies on the turnstiles were fiddling them to pocket a bit of cash while it was so busy. If you Google for pictures you will see kids sat on hay-bales on the pitch and people scaling lamp posts outside. The actual figure is thought to be nearer 100,000+ people for that league game. And before you snigger at that, Maine Road was designed as a 110,000 capacity stadium just like the Wembley Stadium that was built at the same time, by the same company, McAlpine's!

22000 season ticket waiting list, is impressive, but my brother in law managed to get one instantly 2 years ago, wasnt a member and spurs had been shit.

your crowds under george graham were sub 30000 loads of times, not great out of a city london's size.
