Certainly are. I was there in July one year, and got up as far as the snow line a few hundred metres short of Amphitheatre Lake (at 9000 ft or so). Is it the Rockefeller Highway that runs down from Yellowstone?
A few days later and we were being roasted in Moab, Utah.

Only went to Jackson Hole in the winter, so traveling up to Yellowstone was not an option. Did manage to get frostbite trying to find an elk reserve on a -35F morning though. Went to Moab last year. A few years back spent 2 weeks in and around Moab, Canyonlands, Arches. Like being on another planet, Jaw=dropping.
