Why is it that some people don't want people to know how old they are - even cyber friends they've never met haha

a lot of my friends on facebook don't fill in the bit that says what year they were born, so you get a reminder that its somebody's birthday today but it doesn't say which birthday (only on about 20%)

I have to say that I notice its mostly the ladies who are shy of showing theyre age

Im always puzzled why though, is it something to be ashamed off ?

hah Im 61 mate and very proud of it !! if people think Im an old twat I don't givva fuck, Im proud to have reached this age and I still play in a band, ride a motorcycle, go jogging, its how you feel and very much just a number.

I never had an issue with age but when i turned 30 last May i did have a bit of a crisis. I was the first one of of our group of friends to reach 30 and took a bit of a ribbing (which didnt really bother me) but it did make me evaluate my life and where i was and where i wanted to be in the future etc

I hate thinking about serious stuff and for about a month i went off the rails somewhat.

You should have started a thread about it mate.
Everyone else seems to nowadays.
