it was just a bad day for us today, everton cant play football so they just frustrate there opponents with blocks and break up the play and play off set pieces.maybe we should have played this way tonight as it was odvious they were gona play like that.sooner or later we will be able to figure out how to get throught teams like everton.they came with a solid game plan and it worked.it was a typical away performance and fair play to them they won.what annoys me is how all the blues on here are going on as if its the end of the world and sayin how things went wrong at this time and its this players fault, what a load of rubbish some of you talk! we played ok tonight and the lads tried with constant pressure, its very hard to get through a non footballing team who play with 10 defenders.theres still a long way to go yet so we still have a chance more than anyone.

UR AN IDIOT,they dont play football?????,did u see there last goal tonight or did u watch them against hull??they played more football than us tonight!!!hence they won by 2 clear goals!!jesus ud swear we were barca

2 CLEAR GOALS?there first goal was a flukey set piece and the secand one was a counter attack against a midfielder who went into defence son.thye just sat back all game and got us on the break.like i said typical away perormance by a non footballing defending side AWAY from home.

Everton played well tonight ,from defence, mid, and attack.
Give them some credit.

I would say hat Everton are one of the most organised and well drilled teams in the league. Not always the prettiest but very effective and play to their strengths. I knew that was coming tonight, becoming a bogey team for us.

Well done everton and we will be back, only a minor hic-cup!

think its already been said,Everton are a very good side who are very well organised, every player knows what there job is and they get on with doing it.You don't see two of there players going for the same ball then arguing with each other which happened more than once to us tonight.David Moyes is a very good manager, credit where its due and all that bollocks

Your the joke and its not just your inability to start a sentence with a capital letter. Everton played decent football tonight. Have a look at the build up to the Cahill chip and the Osman shot that was deflected wide. You'll see comfortable, intelligent passing. True we sat off and let them do it, but they do play football. You see with teams like Everton, they can play football and they can play ugly. All the best teams can do it. It's why Utd have been so successful.

How many saves did Howard make tonight?
How many shots on target did we have tonight?
What was the most amount of passes in a row we put together tonight?

Answer those questions and you'll find the reason why we lost and deserved to.

We had about 20 mins where we did ok and when the pressure was on them, they panic and start hoofing the ball anywhere. But their defence stood firm and we did nothing to hurt them.

Moyes completely out did Mancini again. I don't rate Mancini and never have. A Johnson was one of the few players causing them real problems, why on earth would you take him off? His reaction to Moyes holding the ball during a substitution is a real worry. He's obviously under real pressure and it won't surprise me if we have yet another new manager in the summer. We are becoming a joke. Hopefully someone who knows football, knows the Prem league will decide who we bring in as manager when the Italian is booted out.

Do any of you think any of our players would show the determination to see out a game in the same way Tim Howard did tonight after getting injured. I think not.

We seriously need to find a team of players who genuinely want to play for Man City and each other, rather than just the ££££ we will offer them.

As for the OP, sort yourself out.

We are pissed off because we know what to expect with Everton but the management don't. City didn't play ok tonight because they lost at home. We and they must expect better; it's not good enough to say the lad's tried.

They are the most irritating team going. I admit they are effective what they do but i couldn't watch that s**t every week. They are scum of the highest order and my hatred is on par with United. We didn't play badly tonight, it was whoever who was going to score 1st who would win tonight. We had enough possesion but couldn't break them down. Its not all doom and gloom we are still in the driving seat to finish 4th

tevez blue-what you just said i have said in my original post, but i have said it in a shorter version of how you just said it.read it agen son.

How on earth have you come to that conclusion. You said 'everton cant play football so they just frustrate there opponents with blocks and break up the play and play off set pieces' and that they are a 'non footballing team who play with 10 men behind the ball'

I couldn't disagree more with those two comments. So how have i just said what you did?

Everton can play ugly, they did stick 10 men behind the ball when they wanted to see out the game, but they also played a lot of football and passed the ball around well. In fact they passed the ball far better than we did tonight.

Correct and i can't believe how stupid some of the comments are on this thread. We get all giddy about our ambitions to finish in 4th spot and play in the Champs league when what Everton did tonight is EXACTLY how teams play in that comp. We can't even break down a side that hasn't anywhere near the class of the rags despite the millions that's been spent.

FFS, get a grip and realise that once again, this is not going to be our season and for all the rags who read this forum for a laugh................35 years and counting.

That's fu*king reality and the sooner we face it the sooner we can turn it around.
