Musicals are shite , but i fuckin love opera. No comparison between the 2 .

I agree with many others -- I loathe musicals. I only go if forced. I think the Phantom of the Opera was the godawfulest piece of hamster shit I've ever paid money to see (because a girlfriend wanted to go).

Having said that . . . Book of Mormon was very funny, but I am a South Park junkie. And when my little girl did Into The Woods not long ago at school, that was pretty good.

But the one and only musical I've ever seen that I actually wanted to see again was "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum."

I will revise my post from long ago to say that everything still holds, except that Hamilton was also incredible.

I have no interest in finding out if any musical can be as good as Hamilton because (a) I doubt it and (b) I don't really care.

I've seen the best the form can offer; might as well quit while I'm ahead.
