We used to have a game of footy after school every single day without exception, and then one day no one was available, but it was slipped out that every fucker was off home to watch Four Feather Falls. I generally couldn't stand puppets on a string shows but this was top dollar!!

Does anyone remember Christine Holmes, a presenter on Crackerjack in the mid-to-late 60s? I mention this because a couple of mates and I really fancied her the time and would rush home from school on a Friday afternoon in plenty of time to catch the programme and watch the lovely Christine. She also had a parallel career as a singer and later recorded and performed under the more glitzy name ‘ Kristine Sparkle’. I think she may even have appeared at some time on Top of the Pops.

Any relation to Fat Eamonn?

There are so many for me. My favourite though was Mr Benn.

I also loved The Banana Splits, Noggin The Nog, The Monkey’s and Worzell Gummidge.

Mr Benn though, fucking loved it.

Ooooooh, Noggin the Nog and Thor Nogson. I still live in hope that City will sign an Icelander or a Faroese called Thor Nogson.

Didn’t Noggin and his wife Nooka (of the Nooks) have a son named Knut?

Nooka, daughter of Nan of the Nooks was chosen by Noggin to be his bride and Queen. She is the mother of Knut and is, by comparison with the Nogs, exquisitely beautiful.
