Your top three likeable managers over the last fifty years?

David moyes
turtle Van Gaal
Jose Mourinho

Just can’t help liking them for what they’ve done to the Rags.

Joe Mercer/Malcolm Allison.

You had to put them together as they were a great team. Took a club in the doldrums and going nowhere fast and for a glorious five year period made us one of the most entertaining and successful in our history at that time. Both great characters too.

2. Roberto Mancini.

Irrespective of who he fell out with behind the scenes the majority of fans loved him. Instilled a steely will to win and discipline into a club that was treading water in spite of the huge spend on players. Tore down that banner as he promised and gave us the 6-1 and first trophy in 35 years.

3. Pep Guardiola.

The final piece in the ten year plan. Elevated our football and professionalism to another level and a genuinely nice human being and sportsman too.

Manuel Pellegrini
Roberto Mancini
Joe Mercer

Honourable mentions to:
Brian Kidd
Joe Royle
Pep Guardiola

I loved Roberto because I was there the night he promised that he would drive the bus over the Mancunian Way to pull down that banner............. and it was an Eccles SC branch member who asked the question that prompted the response. Never forgot that night and he fulfilled his promise. Love him.

Manuel Pellegrini because he was such a gentle, gentle man. Plus he gets us and still harbours a warm spot in his heart for City.

Joe Mercer, well how can anyone not rate Joe Mercer as likeable and a true Blue? Just how?

That’s very easy Roberto he got us we got him. Stood up to Ferguson and kept his promise about that banner. Special relationship between him and a number of fans. Obviously football wise Pep is number one and seems a good man generally. Fantastic football to watch ever. But just something special about the bond with Roberto.

Can't do a 3.

Bobby
Mercer
Kevin
Horton
Sven

Never felt the love for Royle maybe related to his playing days for us.

Pep's not tuned into us fans yet either.

Just putting this out to you all.. Neil Warnock in his press conference said.. standing on the touchline he's never seen anything like this man City team ever.. very complimentary from Neil.

also called Mo Salah "Tom Daley" and gave him a 9.9, I'm starting to warm to Colin
