The b******ds at the FA have complained that my videos from Spurs on Sunday have breached their copyright. Unbelievable !! I'd just seen it posted on the official City site as well.

Mine aren't even the ones that capture any action on the pitch. And as a result Youtube have terminated my account because I did the Adebayor clip with the Arsenal fans and muppet music last year. So i am classed as a multiple offender.

Anyone else suffered this and anyone managed to get their account back ?

I've never suffered from this - but I've heard from friends that it can be near impossible to get an account back after a so called 'copyright breach'.

Youtube = tosspots.

I'm going to try but that doesn't give me much hope. The thing is I have 3 different accounts and only one was for football and City. The others that I use a lot more have been terminated as well.

I think I'm going to have to but I had about 100 videos on my other account from over a 6 year period. And I had a lot of subscribers and links to other people I cannot remember.

Shock, the Football Association turn into English football's version of the Gestapo! No wonder England national team is in such disarray with these London knobs in charge.

Don't have a clue how the FA have got a copyright infringement on this video, because you made it :S

Had the same thing looong ago when i did stuff on youtube, it's a big brick wall to try and get something done from and they don't care in the slightest about individuals.

The FA and others pay them millions a year so thats where the youtube interest lies.

So Sadly you can try but i give you a very low chance they'll unban anything.

did they terminate your others too?! thats insane...wonder if they did it through IP address

They'll have got the copyright infringement as the video was shot within the confines of a Premiership ground either during or just before a Premiership match. The rights to film anything within the ground on such occasions are strictly enforced. Not saying I agree with such a draconian rule, but that's why this has happened.

Yes they've done the others as well and that's what's most annoying. The Mancityvids one was just a bit of fun but the others had nothing to do with football or City and there were no grounds to remove those.

Thing is that if you look on youtube there are tons and tons of similar videos inside Prem grounds. Some show match action, others just show fans. I can sort of understand it when they remove match content but fans videos like this are hardly doing any harm.

-- Tue Aug 30, 2011 9:16 pm --

I watched it yesterday and im pretty sure its up on mcfc.co.uk in the youtube section......

Yeah City linked in on their site but if you try and play it you'll just see the "been removed" message. I got in touch with Chris Nield to suggest he removes it as it looks a bit unprofessional on City's official site to have that copyright message come up. It was late on but he wrote back and I'll expect he'll take it down tomorrow.
