Isn't it grand that nowadays, 'typical City' means we win. I'll never forget not long afterwards, being out for a pint with some family who are reds, (half red, half blue family) and one of my brothers red mates singing " you'll never win f' all" repeatedly. It was a hard pill to swallow for so many years. Mainly because like tens of thousands of others i never saw the change coming. If only i could see him now and ask him do you remember that day and what you sang? I still have to pinch myself sometimes, as what's happened post 2008 and since, doesn’t feel real. Someone posted on bluemoon yesterday, City overtook Man Yoo's income last year by a very big amount of money. (70 million?) It reminded me of Thaksin Shiniwatra's football focus interview just after his takeover, and he was asked, "what is your goal?" To overtake Man Yoo he replied. The interviewer said "isnt that a huge challenge?" "Yes" Thaksin replied...and that was it. Very cool. No emotion.
So today we play them and its a good feeling knowing we are at least equal. In fact i sort of feel like they are slowly disappearing into a supermassive black hole and no matter how hard they try, its inevitable that they will never be top dog's again. It's a good feeling. Happy derby day blues.

Right back to 1976-77, pick a game that would have given us the points for the title over Liverpool, this may very well have altered our entire history.

Spurs again in Champs league overcoming the robbery of the real goal being chalked off.

And finally a totally meaningless game in a season we came third and got promoted back to the top flight.

We got beaten at home live on the TV by Carlisle Utd 3-1 on the 9th of Feb 1985, goals by Bishop and Mally Poskettx2 leading to weeks of piss-taking by cunts at school.
