Still one of the best strikers in the world regardless of what you bangwagon followers think. I'd give anything to sign him, an utter genius of a player.

That is probably going a bit too far imo mate. But his record speaks for itself and while i am not a fan a that lapsidazical style of play he has i would welcome him with open arms to City and would reserve judgement until i had seen him in our team for a good few months.

I wonder what's gone wrong for him this last season.

I think it was a mixture of things to be honest Pam. I speak to quite a lot of Barca fans on their forum and they have been pretty much split down the middle in their opinion of Ibra since it became clear they where after him last summer.

His doubters where insensed when Barca not only paid E40m for him but went and swapped Eto'o aswel who was adored by many as a legend there.

Others love him no matter what and would like to see him given another year at least to prove himself.

As for last season like i say it was probably a mixture of the weight of a big transfer fee and the devided opinion from all angles. But mostly Trying to not only fit into a new team but an entirely new league in a different country. A league which is all around significantly stronger than his previous one.

He was actualy performing very well for Barca up until mid season. He was banging the goals in in the league and most importantly for them in Europe. But he was benched for a few games for reasons unknown (Guardiolas perogative i suppose) and he never realy regained his form. A bit like Ade for us i guess.

I personaly would give him as much support as any City player if we signed him. His record is fantastic for sure but he would come with the weight of a hefty price tag and would be trying to fit into another team, culture and League (Probably the toughest in the world) yet again. Fingers crossed i guess.
