Only thing I don't like is if he persists with Kompany on the right of the 3. He'll get exposed out there and will be suspended by the end of September. Need him in the centre bossing things

exciting to see Danilo on the right, he can play on the left and play very well as the Spurs game showed but he's very clearly more comfortable on his right, expecting an assist from him today. Not convinced by Sane as the left wing back, he'll do absolutely fine but i think it limits him slightly

The problem there is that the CCB in Pep's system plays as DM in attack (and is actually meant to be the weakest defensively), which means they need to be very comfortable on the ball, have decent passing range, and be fairly mobile. The LCB and RCB are intended to be the defending specialists. So if you move Kompany into the center you lose those gifts, which are currently superior to Stones. Also, putting Kompany in that role, given his recent injury troubles, is just asking for a long term absence.

All of that said about the system, I don't think Vinny will be caught out much in that role as the back five becomes more accustom to it.

Ederson
Kompany-Stones-Otamendi
Danilo-------Toure---------Sane
KDB------Silva
G.Jesus--Aguero

Should be interesting how Danilo does on the right. Walker has been excellent.
Sane needs minutes so not surprised he's at LWB
The drawback of having 3 out n out CBs rather than 2 and someone at home at FB is the inability to easily switch Sane from WB to LW
