Looks like Liverpool are going big to try become a PL force again. Melissa Reddy (God's own truth as far as Liverpool is concerned) has written an article - http://www.goal.com/en-in/news/75m-...klopps-masterplan-/1faugqaw77z3c1mded913cfnkn, suggesting that VVD, Mane, Salah, Ox, Keita are only the beginning of the overhaul. Klopp wants one of Goretzka/Milinkovic-Savic in the CM role, Lemar as an attacking option while Jose Gimenez, Aymeric Laporte and Manuel Akanji are three attractive candidates in the defensive department. If they pull that off, their squad would easily be on the same level as City.

Coutinho Firmino Salah
Lemar Keita Goretzka
Gomez Laporte Gimenez Clyne
Karius

Then, it comes down to the coaching and I'd still take Pep every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

IF. That's providing City still have half their first team out, and don't improve at all in the same period. Curious how you pay £75m for a CB then buy 2 to put the guy on the bench, yet leave the weaknesses at full-back and GK untouched. Ludicrous, and how long before say Chelsea put a nice fee down for Mane and RM put £80m on the table for Salah to replace Bale?

100%. Pep is one of the greatest managers of all time, so I would blindly take him over anyone else. Having said that, that's a seriously incredible squad if it's assembled before next season. I'm just saying that the board can't sit idle like we did after winning the title in 13/14. We need a world class forward, DM, CB and very good LB before going into next season. If we can pull of, say, Sanchez, Goreztka, Skriniar and Philip Max, we've basically sealed the title for next 5-6 years.
