He is a bit clueless, he tries to get the atmosphere going by geeing up the tunnel club behind him, and it sold out yonks ago so no need to bring that up for any game.

I never understand telling the opposition exactly which players won't play - keep them guessing.
Clueless fucking hell you gimp!!

Embarrassing when he comes out with stuff like this haha.
He might be talking about the hundreds of early leavers when he’s saying please stay. It’s going to be a tight game and he’s just reminding the fans not to desert the team give the players the support right to the final whistle.

He simply tried to bring the message across that it`s our first home game after the treble & the fans should be enthusiastic because of that. The players need their energy against a very physically strong Newcastle because of the short regenaration time & the injuries. Nothing more. If someone actually watched the presser then he wouldn`t got the impression that pep "criticize" the fans/atmosphere.

Ticket pricing is often the most important factor for the atmosphere. Young & low income people tend to make more noise. IMO our home atmosphere got better over the years especially in "less important" games. Room for improvement is always there. If our fans are already in big numbers in the stadium during the warm-up opposition players could already be intimated before the kick-off.

Generally I have the impression that the atmosphere in stadiums around the UK are often quieter compared to continental Europe but the atmosphere in all the big football temples around Europe are different than in the past. Bernabeau, Camp Nou are also pretty quiet nowadays. People itself & the football consume/visit in the staduim has changed.
