Foden, in his best position, absolute masterclass. Wasn't a fan of the Kovacic signing but he's well on the way to proving me wrong. Overall, an excellent team performance against a good team, with key players missing, and limited preparation time.

Really good to see Foden dictating the game, always looking for the ball and always looking to get forward. Rodri is simply a Rolls Royce of a footballer and early sign’s would suggest he’s found his perfect partner in Kavacic. Kyle leading by example, Akanji superb (what a piece of business that was). Overall a Pep master class in managing a very difficult game following a midweek European away trip.

Phil all day long we have been waiting to see if he could fill kevs shoes in that roll and boy didn't he do well.
