Makes sense that City would accept £45m. Think it's a huge offer for a player like Palmer. What doesn't make sense is why he thinks there's less competition at Chelsea. Doubt he gets into the starting XI there.

If Dortmund really want Palmer, maybe we should have a look at Julian Brandt. Decent player, had his best season for Dortmund last year and is probably cheaper than other options.

Paqueta seemed to have been our 'first' choice after we failed to get Rice or Bellingham. If we don't want to spend £85m on him, why should we expect City to spent that amount on a player that we didn't want as much as Paqueta? Hope we get Doku and keep Palmer and McAtee now!

Now that Walker and Bernardo are set to stay, City know they will still have the versatility and experience of Bernie and don't need to worry about finding a rb and can hopefully concentrate on finding the winger/midfielder we need. Find clubs for Laporte and Cancelo and there should be more...

Stones. Dias. Ake. Akanji. Gvardiol. I've never seen a better collection of defenders at the same club at the same time. Would be even more incredible if we manage to keep Walker as well!
