    17 | Kevin De Bruyne - 2023/24

Not sure about overall, but that's certainly our goal of the season so far, just incredible technical ability to get that much power and direction on it

Barco looked a player. At fault for a goal and let walker go for our 4th but that's going to happen. For a debut, against the best side in the world I thought he was impressive. their best player and can certainly see why we were sniffing around. Could easily be another to end up with a bog...

    8 | Mateo Kovacic - 2023/24

When did I say we were struggling badly? That's a quite mental leap to take. Almost all of our best performances this season has seen kovacic involved.

    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

I still think Rodri has been our best player but we all know how these popularity contests work, he's not going to get awards when there's attacking candidates to choose from. With that in mind, if we win the league, he has to win PoTY.

    Pep Guardiola - 2023/24

Nailed it today. Win is as much down to his setup than anything. 6 more please Pep.

    8 | Mateo Kovacic - 2023/24

We've looked ropey in every game where he's gone with 4 attackers behind haaland and left Rodri alone. We haven't won a single big game all season when doing it, I don't think it's an unfair claim.

    24 | Joško Gvardiol - 2023/24

Already belongs. Paid top money and weve got a superstar. About time he starts getting some appreciation from the stands. So... Is it my imagination, or have we finally found, what we've been looking for? Pep's been looking for Croatians, and what he found was Kovacic and Gvardiol...

    31 | Ederson - 2023/24

Have we all become so used to it thag he doesn't even get a mention? His passing today was out of this world. I don't think he made a single poor pass, including numerous 70 yard balls. I love Ortega as much as anybody but those questioning who are number 1 is are mental. Nobody on the planet...

    6 | Nathan Ake - 2023/24

Was really chuffed to see him get the armband, I know he was bournemouth captain but I think that's the first time he's worn it as a blue and thoroughly deserved. a natural leader by example, expect him to make the captains group when there's a few departures.

    8 | Mateo Kovacic - 2023/24

Incredible performance. He's the reason we looked fluid from back to front tonight above anybody else. he was always on either for a pass through the lines or he dropped, received the ball and made the pass himself or carried it through. He has Gundo levels of footballing intelligence just not...

    25 | Manuel Akanji - 2023/24

Vincent Akanji. Him and Ake are first two picks in defence for me. Once again he excels doing his natural sweeper-like defending instead of pushing into midfield. I think he does an admirable job when he pushes on, but he should always be playing the role he played tonight, I don't think...

    2 | Kyle Walker - 2023/24

You're getting shat on for saying that but you're correct, he made numerous errors that lead to good chances for them that shouldn't have happened. The two assists were great and he deserves a lot of credit for them but they seem to cloud some people's view of his overall game. it's fine to...

Brighton (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Refs got some deep lying hatred of Brighton for some reason, never a freekick for our goal, the rodri tackle wasn't even close to a penalty but the gvardiol challenge was a penalty all day, Pedro throwing himself like a knob was the thing that saved us, if he hadn't tried to exaggerate the...

Brighton PL (A) | Man of the Match

Kovacic. Phil was the eye catcher but if you know your football, kovacic was the key. Near faultless.

Match Thread | Brighton vs Man City (25/04/24)

I think you've put 2 and 3 together and got 12 there mate. That performance isn't related to Haaland, alvarez isn't doing something massively different to Haaland, he's playing the 9 role himself. The difference stems from a solid midfield and brighton being a man-to-man team that allows and...
