He was good in cl no doubt about that but premier league takes a toll out of players .

It's not like he was going to play that many games tbh, doubt the toll would've been too heavy

People overestimate all the PL intensity talk tbh (it is a factor obviously), even moreso when it's taking into account one of the best FB's in the world who's proven in the top echelons of the sport. Who's also coming off one of the best runs by a FB in a CL campaign, playing a key part in his team's road to the final.

Even if psg have offered him 14mil a year. If the rumours are to be believed that psg only came in for him last week they wouldn't have been in a position to offer that if we would have signed him up straight after being released

Has to be with Alves and probably general frustration at missing out on a position we needed. We had a gentleman's agreement, don't see how Txiki can get the blame for a player completely going back on his word.
