Definitely not a failure, especially given how unbelievably we have played this season. Literally setting a new standard for how the game should be played in this country.
Possible a slight sense of anti-climax which will disappear before the lap of honour ends.
On a totally different note this season has shown me one of the reasons why the England national team will never ever be successful. England players are reffed differently in this league. More leniently and to be honest , In a corrupt manner. When we go to world cups we are reffed the way we should be reffed. Dives, late tackles, dirty tackles, are invariably pulled up and we can’t cope with it. And limp home after the group stages. It’s Brilliant to see cheats realise quickly that they can’t get away with their normal game and flounder.
It’s also why English teams punch below their weight in the champs league most years.
And it’s why city will possibly win it in the next few years as we are used to corrupt referees and in Europe are faced with refs who aren’t as bad.
