    Aston Villa (A) - Wed 6th Dec, 20:15 | PL | Pre Match Thread

No Rodri. No Grealish. Probably no Doku. No real width in the side. Defence is at 6s and 7s right now. And Villas home record is perfect. I think it's safe to say if we come away with anything it's a bonus. I just don't think we've clicked this season yet and with everyone else upping their game...

Wolves PL (A) | Post Match Discussion

Kovacic was poor yesterday. Lost the ball who knows how may times. Ake was poor yesterday. Beaten for pace time and again. Foden was poor yesterday. Still doesn't know how to take control of games. Haaland doesn't move enough so he's easy to mark on days like yesterday. More teams will work this...

    Evan Ferguson

Liverpool will have the money to tempt Brighton into a sale so for me that's where he'll go next summer. Assuming of course he maintains his recent form for the whole season and not just a handful of games. There's been plenty of up and coming stars who ultimately can't sustain the form/levels...

    Florian Wirtz

Alvarez can revert to covering the strikers position. KDB won't be around forever. Getting older and more injury prone now. Wirtz is the next generation of midfield talent with Foden.

Joao Cancelo | On loan at Barcelona

I hope not. Pep doesn't come back for another week or two!

    Jeremy Doku

Looks like it according to early reports.

Newcastle United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Terrific performance given the circumstances against a pretty decent side too. Foden was immense and Akanji was everywhere. They all played their part superbly. Recharge your batteries lads and hopefully we'll have Stones & Silva back soon to continue the march to the top again against the...

Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

We've walked away before when a deal doesn't work for us. And guess what we've done OK haven't we! We still have 2 weeks left to look at alternatives so let's not hammer Txiki yet. The club gets it right way, way more often than it gets it wrong.

    Aymeric Laporte

I think it's because we've let him go cheap and don't want to alert Premier League rivals who, if they found out might step in a offer the same to play for them? We wouldn't want him to go to any Top 6 side for instance.

Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

Daily Express say we've had an £88m bid rejected and WHU want £95m. Not sure where they got the info from but it's utter madness for a player not remotely worth the fee. Just cannot see what he brings to the team if I'm honest and I'd rather we walked away from this.

    Kaoru Mitoma

At 26 years of age I'm not sure how much more potential he has. It's one thing to do it for half a season at Brighton. It's another to replace Mahrez at City and the level we play at. My preference would be to get Sane back if that was an option.

    Josko Gvardiol

Eric will be going nowhere unless we get Gvardiol on board. There's still time for that with a deal being more likely done when they come back from the Far East. If things don't move quickly at that stage then my feeling is the club are ready to walk away. Either way we just need to keep the faith.

    Kyle Walker

If we need to splash the cash elsewhere we may need to. Even City will have their budget to stick to for this transfer window.

Far too sensible an analysis for on here mate!

    Full backs / Wing Backs

Would take him on a free as a squad filler. Certainly talented player. Is he not a bit injury prone?

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Why? I think it's a case of innocent until proven guilty first don't you?

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Do we have anything nuclear to go on the Premier League with? Surely if we had, we'd have dropped a couple of subtle hints to the main protagonists prior to this to get them to put the brakes on. It looks to me like the Big 6 aren't worried what City might have.

    It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

I've no doubt we'll have money set aside for a huge transfer window but the issue is whether our targets, Bellingham included, would want to come to us at this moment in time given the uncertainty of the clubs status. We'll have a hard enough job stopping players like Haaland wanting out early...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

They'll not care too much about that as long as they get paid a fat fee for doing the job of getting us off the hook.

    No-one passing to Haaland.

Haaland is completely wasted at City. Everyone knows his strengths and everyone else would be playing to them. The man is a monster goal machine. Only at City do they completely ignore him at times. Bernie had the pass on several times yesterday but played not one. No wonder Haaland is pissed...
