I know it'a over still I cling, I don't know where
My daughter wants one of those 10" Netbooks for Xmas. I've been having a look at various reviews etc.
Going to buy from the cheapest end of the market (about £240).
She'll just use it for the web, playing games and arsing around in Word, are these machines any good?
Does anyone on here use one? Any recommendations would be good. It seems Acer and Dell are the best for the price. Whaddaya tink? Cheers.

they seem to be quite fashionable at the moment. i think there is just a memory issue.

has your post count been culled?

Try the dell outlet mate, you can pick up 10 inches (oooer mrs) for around £140

Better than netbook with decent spec http://www1.ap.dell.com/hk/en/home/...spx?refid=laptop-inspiron-10v&cs=hkdhs1&s=dhs

They're ideal for general use. Dont know which games you mean above, as anything above casual things like zuma and the like will struggle. Also, make sure you pick one with an optical drive or remember to pick up an external one.

watch out what operating system it has dont get anything unless its got windows. Some have linux and they aren't compatable with a lot of things especially wireless broadband dongles. they wont be any use for gaming because as was mentioned before most of them (at least what we sell at comet) dont have optical drives so you would struggle loading software on to them eg antivirus if you dont have a usb external optical drive. Oh and dont buy acer! ;)
