TBH Laporte was rather poor last season. If Stones is not fit, I feel Ake should be a starter with Dias.

It's his passing that has improved so much more than anything else. Less touches, more confidence and purpose, knows when to recycle possession and when to break the lines.

When he first came he looked too timid on the ball, like he was feeling the pressure of a big step up. Now he shows none of that.

Very good last night. He should probably be in the starting XI against West Ham given that he’s had more of a pre-season than the others, and is looking sharp. Really glad we kept him.
