Crown Royal is the seventh and final album from hip hop pioneers Run–D.M.C., released on April 13, 2001. It was released about 18 months before the murder of Jam-Master Jay. All songs but the title track featured guest artists, including Fred Durst, Stephan Jenkins and Sugar Ray, Everlast, Kid Rock, Nas, Prodigy and Method Man.

It is the first and only Run–D.M.C. album with a Parental Advisory label, though previous Run-D.M.C albums, such the 1986 Raising Hell, had included explicit lyrics.

1. It's Over (featuring Jermaine Dupri)
2. Queen's Day (featuring NAS & Prodigy of Mopp Deep)
3. Crown Royal
4. Them Girl's (featuring Fred Dust)
5. The School of Old (featuring Kid Rock)
6. Take the Money and Run (featuring Everlast)
7. Rock Show (featuring Stephan Jenkins of Third Eye Blind)
8. Here We Go 2001 (featuring Sugar Ray)

First ever listen to Run-D.M.C and probably the weakest pick to choose from their catalogue, this the last album they ever did and doesn't feature any hit singles despite the collaborations of some big names - most disappointingly though is the absence of 'DMC' who rarely features, so basically 'Run' jamming with his pals.
Nevertheless there is some upbeat rock rap tracks - opening tracks 'It's Over' and 'Queen's Day' and title tracks 'Crown Royal' are ok, then some pretty awful stuff from Fred Durst and Kid Rock - which sound more like teenage wheezer type pop songs - world away from ground breaking collaboration with Aerosmith which helped transcend Rap with Rock, think i need to hear there early stuff with JMJ and DMC for a true reflection of this pioneering Rap group.
