On holiday in Spain and quite a few Arsenal fans at the hotel we are in. They seem to have got a bit more irate than usual today so either someone burnt the afternoons croissants or this has something it.

Facking city being mentioned a lot, and Pap Guardiola being overrated. Told them he looks like a useful right back for a top four team.

Yes, they do need him or a player of his caliber to get Champions League, you agree with this surely? Replacing Sanchez is something Arsenal are going to massively struggle with and if everyone else improves further then good luck to them. If they are weakened by him leaving then Arsenal are an inferior team without him and it'd be disingenuous to say they'd be in a better or similar position than they are now in the table. Finishing 6th doesn't guarantee European football and that's where they'd probably finish.

Your first line. They had him last season and failed. This is what has started this tet a tet

Err 50m or no 50m which one would you choose!

Not as black and white as that though is it? If they sell their best player they can kiss goodbye to any hopes of regaining a champs league place and it would basically be a public declaration of them accepting they can no longer compete for titles. It's by no means a given with Sanchez but you'd surely agree it's not too farr off impossible without him? You saw Arsenal fans last season, do you really think they'd put up with that? They'd be riots! in addition, Wenger has just signed a new two year deal why would he do that if the board are then going to go above his head and sell his best players? What good is 50 million to them when they can't bring any anybody off equal talent and the money will be offset by the loss of earning champs league football brings.

So if he stays and runs his contract down, do you think he will have sufficient motivation to help then achieve something they failed to last season?
