Has your council done it elsewhere? Is it adopted? Does anyone get a car down to a garage or is too narrow for that? Do the bin wagons need access? Would you want a delay when Maverick Blue shows up on his shiny red thing and can't find a key?

Anyone have one of these behind their garden? We have one shared with the houses in the road parallel behind us.

I’m thinking of increasing house security, and basically, anyone have experience of putting a gate for an alleway? I don’t know how it works with the council. If council don’t help, then how to go about collaborating with other neighbours to do so? Thanks

To answer your original question, if they are funding them (MCC isn't at present)then the council put them uo, but onve gared the entries are the tesidents responsibility for upkeep and cleanliness.

If the council isn't providing them you can pay yourselves but get permission from the council, also the same applies in respect to upkeep
