Good piece that
Pep has a minimum £150 million transfer kitty according to Mail online today 3/5/17
It seems to be decreasing every month don't it?
Must be true then !
150 Million is nowhere near enough to get us back into top spot in the league and serious about taking on and beating the best in Europe.
New Keeper 30m. At least 3 new full backs 80m. World class CB 50m. Replacement for Yaya 50m. Attacking Midfielder 60m. Total 270m
Leaving likely. Zab, Sagna, Clichy, Delph, Fernando, Nolito, Bravo or Willy,
Maybe. Vinny, Yaya, Navas, Nacho
30m max for that lot probably less. So a net spend of about 250m is needed just to get up and running as serious contenders. This would probably have to be backed up
by another big spend following year. How much will it cost to get an adequate replacement for Dave?
If we don't manage to buy at the quality end of the market we will struggle big time next year.
there is not a chance imo that we will spend that much. that would be ridiculous and completely unsustainable for the club. we have to stop beign so reliant on spending huge amounts of money, look at what spurs have done. we need a few top quality players that will cost a fair bit, but we need to start buying smarter and turning players into world class players. what happens next year if we have a bad season - spend 270m again ?
I think I've read that book before. Probably half a dozen times at least.
I may have a benzo habit by the time this window closes. We need so many to leave and so much quality to come in it's frightening.
I'm estimating 200 + selling players ~300 to spent with.
you think we can get 100M selling players?
