They are all decent ones that Matt has posted but with free ones they dont get updated as often and dont give enough protection.
Dont renew Norton as IMO its a bag of shit, Kaspersky is the best out there atm if you can stretch to about £15 or go on Ebay get it for around a fiver.

In my opinion if you're up for payin' for one , it's gotta be kasperskys.
Other than that AVG/Zone alarm are as good as any of the freebies.

I got 2 year Kaspersky Internet Secutiry for £15 the other week through an offer I had.
If you go to http://www.kaspersky.com/store?chapter= ... &prodid=80 & add the Internet Security 7.0 to your basket (1 or 2 year), & then enter the code WHSmith in the coupon code box, you'll get it half price.
The one year works out at £10.61, & the 2 year £16.12. You can also add a back up cd (if you want one, I didnt get it) for £4.50.
