Why Always Ste, whilst what you say makes sense it misses the pride Scotland has in being Scottish. Moreover, the problem Scotland has isn't money per se but the distribution of money. Scottish football has suffered from wasting money on rubbish foreign players who aren't good enough for the premiership (Samaras?) at the expense of cultivating local talent.

I think they spend most of their money on smack and deep fried food so they can't afford to go.

think its more to do with the fact that scottish towns are so small, so will inevatbly struggle to get big crowds

and that most of the match going fans in the small towns prefer to watch games in Glasgow.

That's it in a nutshell.You even have Old Firm shops in cities like Dundee and Edinburgh.

football on show is dire.i go watch my hometown team(peterhead in div.3)on occasion but more for banter n beers than the actual match.

I think the biggest problem is the size of the towns the clubs play in, apart from Glasgow and maybe Edinburgh.
