When will people stop giving him more chances? he has thrown every one of these chances back in the faces of those who trusted him.

I can't see any reason why he has had so many opportunities, he doesn't appear to have changed as a person, and he looked like an average at best player today. His tackle on Alonso was a disgrace; why go in two-footed? moreso, why go in two-footed on a player with his back to goal, right next to the corner flag? He is a coward, and a vicious, petulent coward at that!

Just watched an interview with Shearer on SSN. I would say he was seriously pissed off with Barton. When the reporters asked for his thoughts on the sending off, it's not what he said (he said it was the right decision, and that Barton had let the club and himself down); it was the way Shearer said it. Curt, clipped answers. Can't see both of 'em being at Loony Toons next season.
