I know its being a bit picky, but technically much of the music mentioned are not film scores. There is music Written by composers for films, John Williams, Ennio Morricone, Franz Zimmer, Michael Nyman, Richard Rodney Bennett etc etc etc. There are songs written specifically for the sound track of films, Midnight Cowboy, all bond stuff, Randy Newman's Toy Story stuff, Raindrops keep falling (i think) Face of a faith (one of my faves by a brilliant artist Nelly McKay)

Then there are songs utilized by the director of which Tarrentino is very well known for doing well.

Then there are classical works used by the director, the most famous being "the tune from 2001" which is in fact a huge tone poem from the pen of Richard Strauss written in the late 1800's and NOT a film score.
