Okay, I'm admitting defeat with my PC. It won't boot to Windows at all. I can't load it to the Safe Mode nor will it run repair assessment. It gets to the 'windows is loading files' bit and freezes, so I can't even load any back up discs.

Any geniuses, in the computer sense, available to look at it for me??

Help a fellow Blue out...

Sounds exactly what happened to mine a few months ago after it got a virus on it. Wasn't the Blue Screen of death though, it just froze as windows was loading like you have just said.

Whatever you do don't take it to PC World or your pc will disappear for 7 weeks!

They had to send it off to Data Recovery and then re-install Windows. I wasn't a happy bunny! :-(

What OS are you running?

If it's XP, have your tried booting from CD and running the repair tool?

use a live loader such as spotmau it will boot from cd you can then fix the boot files that are corrupt with the tools. Its not free but i'm sure a little bit of google you may find a copy ;)
