going down this afternoon to see this....my mate went a couple of weeks ago.....he enjoyed it that much he's coming back today with me

i watched a few little bits of those live autopsy shows, but tbh once the initial shock factor is over i get bored with the internal organs shit.

i watched a documentary on this gunther guy a few months ago and was amazed at the plasticising technique he uses to keep the muscles and organs upright.

gonna see if i can get any piccies today, even though they dont allow cameras

some of the wierd poses he has the body parts in sound strange

I went a few months ago, its a very interesting exhibition.

Excellent exhibition- a bit on the warm side, though.

I have to admit, I did find the embryo-to-birth foetus section a little over the top. That said, there's a brilliant gorilla.

It's fantastic...The gorilla would do some damage if you bumped into one in the wild...

The most facinating bit for me was reading the consent letter by someone who donated their body for plastination...

some piccies....my mate managed to smuggle a camera in and get some piccies...sorry in advance for the quality

pic 1 - relay man. 2 relay runners made up of the same body. the 1st is the skeleton, the 2nd is the muscles

pics 2 & 3 - weird pose for this...arms and legs pulled sideways...but when you get round the back he has pulled the brain and spinal cord away almost alien/predator like in stance

pics 4 & 5 - the admiral....after checking out the length of his pecker (no shit, it was 1/2 way down his thigh)...we renamed him "long john silver" ;p

pic 6 - body dissected in slices and hung on wire, like the exec desk toy ball thingy

pics 7 & 8 - badminton player. 1 man/3 players..he dissected this guy into 3 seperate parts, but kept the front foot the same for all 3...it was strange

pics 9 & 10 - the heart surgeon...strange story with this one...the guy on the slab had open heart surgery many years ago and went onto die many years later. the surgeon stood over him is the actual surgeon who performed the original heart op. he is stood over the guy with the guys heart in his hand

pics 11, 12 & 13 - the gorilla. this was a full size silverback stood on a tree branch. it had been skinned to show the muscles, but he had left little bits, like a strip of hair down each arm. on the opposite side of the tree was the gorillas internal organs hanging like a massive beehive

pics 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 & 21- poker game. 3 guys sat round table playing poker. amzed with this, thats why we got so many piccies. one of the guys was cheating, he had a king between his toes ;)

pics 22 & 23 - swimming. female swimming in mid air. from the front it was just skinned...but from the back the bones & muscles had all been removed.

pics 24, 25 & 26 - blonde bombshell....female leaning back against the rocks in a dodgy pose...the white shape behind her is her skin and hair behind lay on the rocks like some dodgy fancy dress costume.....my mate reckons there was something strangely wrong about this one.

pics 27, 28 & 29 - strange one tbh....back muscles and thighs are peeled away

pics 30 & 31 - a right fanny...i reckoned you could buy one of them in amsterdam ;p

pics 32, 33 & 34 -sprinter.

pics 35, 36 & 37 - footballers. 2 guys fighting to head the ball.
