British jihadists killed in RAF drone strike

No, its not, after we helped Libya we ( the CIA with the aid of MI6 ) shipped arm's to the Syrian rebels that are now forming ISIS, we probably thought we were helping the rebels oust Assad and probably didn't envision the rise of ISIS but then the USA trained and armed Bin Laden so it doesn't always work out as planned!.

So we didn't arm ISIS. We allegedly armed opposition groups who eventually were absorbed by the rise of ISIS. We did not arm AQI nor did we support them. If you cast your mind back there was much parliamentary debate as to what assistance was appropriate for the rebels in Syria. This is not a secret and the intel report which the guardian tries to put forward as proof is nothing of the sort and says nothing of the sort.

You claim we armed ISIS in the first place. That is Bullshit. But it's a cheap and loud gimmick for the apologists.

If you say so. Your getting caught up in semantics. when we were arming the rebels there were already reports that they were infact AQ based extremists.

as for casting minds back, we rejected supporting the rebels, but did it anyway, which is why the report is so damming.

Its always the danger of arming groups that you have no idea what they will turn into. we armed the group that became ISIS, they are using the arms we gave them!. what they called themselves back then and what they call themselves now is irrelevant.

You seem to have a view that we can do no bad in the world or make mistakes, we helped create the power vacuum they occupy and supplied some of the arms they are using... simples.

The United States of Amnesia.
What a load of bollocks. There seems to be this view amongst some that the Afghan resistance to the Soviet occupation (the Mujahideen) became the Taliban. The Taliban didn't form until 1994 and although there were some former Mujahideen amongst their organisation, many others moved on to other groups like the western alliance etc who fought against the Taliban. Reagan couldn't have met the Taliban because they didn't exist pre 1994.

Oh we make mistakes. We allow a small but vocal minority to hamstring our military which then undermines our political power.

I think they were called St. Mark's (West Gorton).

your having a laugh!, When was the last time a vocal group managed to hamstring the military? 3 million people attended 1 anti war rally in Hyde park in London, against us going into Iraq, that didn't stop us. thats 5% of the entire UK population in 1 park in London, and the single largest march in UK history and it did nothing!.

Glad you said it. Great post.

Because of the Labour cunts.

Nonsense, ISIS is a death cult not a proper ideology. It attracts disaffected and stupid half-wits from many countries around the world. It doesn't have roots in any area. It's like a cancer that needs to be destroyed. If the leadership is eradicated the rest will melt away. It certainly won't be around for generations. The Nazis were in power for 12 years before they were consigned to history; ISIS are much smaller with little popular support and won't last anywhere near as long as that. Appeasement didn't work with Hitler and it won't work with them.

The same flawed thinking led to Al-Qaeda being an organisation of just a few hundred pre-9/11 to one of thousands in the proceding decade. ISIS, like Al-Qaeda is not a top down organisation that has control of cells around the world. Small cells/groups in other parts of the world subscribe to their mantra and ideology and carry out attacks which they proscribe to ISIS. They are not led or controlled by a central command. In fact most of the atrocities carried out around the world in the name of ISIS have been carried out by deranged individuals or small groups, planned on their own and not commanded by some Baddie Boss in Syria. Read the article I posted several pages back.
