BUG: I keep getting logged out!

Hmmm, might be a stupid one this.

Hmmmmmmmm. A very interesting question. Actually I have a few desktop icons - shortcuts to each of the forums, that I just double-click on.

I have just checked the main one and the link is:

http://www.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=1&sid=b0b9e78f7588b356109bd00558110221

(Because I just dragged it to the desktop some while back.)

Do you think this might have something to do with it? Although it's hard to understand why this works for a few hours and then I am later logged out.

Hi mate,

That SID on the end of the link is the Session ID that is created for you. These are stored in our database and have an expiry date. I would imagine that it is happening because your session keeps expiring and logging you out.

Try changing your link to this:

http://www.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=1

I wondered if that might be something to do with it when I saw the URL.

I'll give it a try without the session ID. (Although strangely it's never been a problem before, so why this should have only started happening recently I don't know. And also - strangely - it hasn't logged me off all day today.)

Anyway, thanks very much for your help and I will give it a try.

Well, it just logged me out again :-(

Went in with following shortcut:

http://www.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=10

and I was logged out.

Happening to me as well.

Internet Browser: Google Chrome
Operating System: Windows Vista
Type of Error: I keep getting logged out.
Problem (please be as descriptive as possible): I browse around the forum and then i click on a thread and it says I'm logged out.

Have you tried a different browser? Yes
Have you tried logging out then in? Yes
Have you tried clearing your cookies/cache? Yes
Have you tried rebooting your machine? Yes

Keeps happening to me as well, been ongoing now every time I log in for the past few weeks, I'm using the iPhone, but up to the last few weeks never had a single problem, & just can't understand why.

I can't see how this is a browser problem (since it happens in both Firefox and IE8).

It's very wierd.

If I log in again, I will stay logged in for a few hours and then I get logged out again as above.

EDIT: sometimes I fire up the browser and straight away I am not logged in. So I really don't think this is a problem at my end. Something wierd is going on with the bluemoon software that keeps logging me off for some reason.

I think it's just you. Can you do a HijackThis log so I can see if it's any weird software that's causing the problem on your end? Or maybe it's your browser security settings?

Yeah, it's just banned me :)

Anyway, I'm still looking into this guys but the progress is slow at the moment as I'm ridiculously busy work wise and we have a problem on the server that is causing it to shut down at intermittent intervals.

I'll let you know of any developments and can only really apologise again
