Replaced him for half a season when he had a holiday no problem, Dzeko his scored more in the last two seasons and Aguero has a similar work rate and more end product.

Anyone now how much were saving on wages if he went? 8.5m is to low imo but could see with his wages leaving too how it could be seen as good business by the powers that be.

Try remembering that season a little harder.

Only suarez for workrate would replace Tevez imo.

Jonathan Walters? Paul Dickov?

Work rate takes you so far, skill and brainpower takes you further.
Work rate is vastly overrated in the British game.
Argentina seems to do ok without him, as will we.

No it isn't, its essential in our league & its what makes english sides do so well in europe Chelsea, Liverpool & the rags none had the most gifted side in the champs league when they won it but they all had a great work ethic.

That was great, but football has moved on. An end product is required and unfortunately, Carlos is too selfish. He looks like he runs about a lot as his positional sense isn't great.

Liken it to last ditch defenders- it looks great when they make that tackle, but then compare it to VK. He doesn't need to lunge in as he knows where to be.

Hell of a job to replace Tevez. Like losing 3 players.

None of those player could lase the boots of Tevez. I'm talking about a player of similar quality.

Not last season he didn't. He was all over the fucking place & missed with plenty of lunges.

Defenders who don't make last ditch tackles aren't defenders. There has never been a top defender who didn't, just a load of utter mythical bullshit written about it.

And Bayern plus Dortmund got to the final of the Champions League because they out worked Real & Barca, not because they have better players.

If Pellegrini has a lot of attacking players in his team, they will have to work lie fuck or we will win nothing. Tevez would be ideal for our squad next season.

Look at bayern and dortmund, think they'd have been so successfull without a good work ethic its needed more than ever now. Look at the transformation in Robben.
Im not saying thats all you need i loved Dickov id have had 10 of him in the team (at the time) but you'd never win anything major with 10 dickovs but you still need good players that are gonna graft.
I agree about Tevez being too selfish, i think Aguero is too, least unselfish is Dzeko and thats fucked up because he should be the most selfish of the lot. Tevez could do and has done Dzekos role twice as good.

He isn't clinical enough. He shoots from everywhere.

Did we do better with him last year, or better the previous year, without him?
