It's a Welsh thing.

Trying to tap into Welsh national pride.

That's my theory anyway.

Next season we should all wear England shirts when we play them and make a real occasion of it :-)

I seem to remember Sam Hammam, when he was at Cardiff, proposing a change to red to drum up Welsh patriotism, but there was a fans backlash and he backed down.
